Clean-Up Day, Saturday, October 20th

I've been checking the It's My Park page at the NYC Parks website regularly, and not finding it.  But it is now confirmed by two reliable sources that we'll be spreading wood chips this Saturday, starting no later than 10:00am (probably earlier) and ongoing to at least 2:00pm (probably later.)

There is more and more competition these days for wood chips and tools from the Parks Dept.  The number of It's My Park events keeps expanding, faster than available resources do.  But the work needs to be done, and we can always come back and do more later.  And the weather sounds really nice.  I assume there will be refreshments, as there always have been.  And our run manager Bailea, for those who have questions, or who just want to bask in the warmth of her presence.

And if you arrive early enough, you might meet our new puppy, Burren.  Who is really sweet.  But a bit young to hang around the whole time (puppies need to be watched at all times), so she will be there for a short while only.  First come, first licked.
