A poetical tribute to Dallas
On The Death Of A Golden Retriever
To think of him now
Would also retrieve
Warm immediate
Remembrance
Of his spirited courage
His sweet bulk
His peachy fur
And his face
Was indeed like
A ripe and friendly fruit
Full of accumulated
Mischiefs, perhaps
From the times of
His youthful pursuits
His spirit and determination
Pose an engaging challenge
And a serious inspiration
The happiness of a
Well loved dog
Is like a rewarding
Waterfall. For all that
And more
Such a dog will
Never really die
They continue in your life
Like the moon and the sun
At their most golden.

And I promise, the next few articles will be photos of still-living dogs, having fun.
