Happy Holidays from Washington Tykes

Before the scoping meeting on Monday, I got Max down to the park--the windchill was below zero at that point, and he definitely needed his coat.

As we headed for the 158th St. stairway on our way home, a PEP vehicle showed up almost precisely at 9:00am--Max was leashed, and there were no problems, but be on the lookout for white vehicles with green markings--they also have Honda sedans.

A while before that, Max made a new friend--Derby is a Lab/Hound mix. Only five months old--first snow! Grown-up dog to pester and imitate! Yehhhh!

For a happy dog in a loving home, every day is Christmas--or Chanukhah, or Kwanzaa, or Eid--actually, dogs probably do sense the winter solstice, which is celebrated in all the above. Most humans can only manage a few days of genuine holiday spirit each year. But there's no merrier time than one spent with a new puppy--and to all people & pooches who are embarking on a new life of companionship and challenges together in this tough tenderhearted city, savor every moment, and we'll see you in the New Year.

I don't know why more people don't comment on this blog. The pictures are always outstanding (especially when my dog is featured lol), and the commentary always refreshing.

Great job Chris!

Hey, for the number of readers I get most weeks, I think I do pretty well with comments.

And if I was getting tons of replies, I'd have to worry about trolling, spam, etc. There's something to be said for anonymity. ;)

Tina my furry pal she is a female German Sherphard now one year of age who had four puppies on October 15, 2008 only two weeks after she was given to us. Tina was previously owed by a breeder who exposed her to a full male German Sherphard when she was only 6 months old. She is now with us, a family who truly cares for her.

On that October 15th night to our total amazement Tina gave birth to four beautiful puppies 3 males and 1 female. We have one male puppy up for adoption who is now 3 months old. Who already answers to the commands of "sit", "come", "get" and "let's go outside". Please respond to this blog if you are interested or call Rosa at 646-894-8667 or Hector at 646-302-7338.
